From the Field: Submission Guidelines
From the Field is about sharing what works.
Some of the best classroom ideas don't come from a curriculum guide or a published resource. They come from educators trying something, adjusting it, and discovering, Hey, that actually worked.
Our goal is to make From the Field a place where educators can share practical activities, strategies, routines, adaptations, and resources that others can put to use in their own classrooms.
What We're Looking For
We welcome ideas from teachers, specialists, related-service providers, and others working with young learners. We're especially interested in:
Classroom activities and learning experiences
Teaching strategies and routines
Creative ways to solve everyday classroom problems
Adaptations that make an activity work better for different learners
Center, small-group, or whole-group ideas
Games and hands-on learning
Visual supports and classroom tools
Free printables or other resources that accompany your idea
You don't need to be a professional writer or resource creator. If you've found something that works, we'd like to hear about it.
How Much Should I Write?
Don't worry about writing a polished article. About 250–750 words is plenty for most submissions, and shorter is fine when an idea doesn't need much explanation.
Tell us what you do, why you do it, what you've learned from using it, and anything another educator should know before trying it. Write it the way you'd explain the idea to another teacher.
We'll take care of formatting and can lightly edit for clarity and consistency before publication.
Resources, Photos & Downloads
If you have something that helps bring your idea to life, we'd love to see it. You may include classroom or activity photos, examples, printables, templates, or other supporting files.
Please don't submit photographs showing identifiable children.
The idea itself can be the resource. You don't need to create a printable or download to contribute. If you do have something that helps another educator put your idea into practice, such as a printable, sample activity, mini-set, template, or other resource, we'd love to share that too.
What About TPT or Other Paid Resources?
Absolutely. From the Field isn't limited to Bridge Early Learning resources.
If your idea connects to a larger resource that you sell on Teachers Pay Teachers or elsewhere, you're welcome to tell us about it and provide a link. We’ll include that link with your contribution.
Every From the Field contribution should give readers something useful without requiring a purchase. That might be the complete idea itself, a free download, or a sample from a larger resource. The useful idea comes first; the sales link comes second.
A Few Ground Rules
Please submit only ideas, writing, photographs, and files that you created or have permission to share. Submissions should be appropriate for an educator audience and shouldn't contain copyrighted materials belonging to someone else.
Submitting an idea doesn't guarantee publication. We may contact you with questions or suggest edits before posting, and we'll always credit published contributions to the contributor unless you prefer otherwise.
Most importantly, don't overthink it. If something is working in your classroom and you think another educator might benefit from it, that's exactly what we want From the Field to be about.
